There are three areas of competency that boards need to provide Enterprise Technology Governance (ETG). This discovery was thoroughly researched as part of Elizabeth Valentine’s doctoral research (Valentine, 2016) at Queensland University of Technology.

In the current technology-saturated environment boards of directors (those with the ultimate legal accountability for governing private, public and government organizations) need to include ETG competence amongst their ranks.
